Sage Construct Advanced- Third Level of Job Costing
This example is now displaying what is involved in
our square metre of Partition (Partn. 100/12/12), We can
see there are both Labour and Material costs and each of
these is broken down by it's relevant unit of measure,
hours, Kilos, Items etc and the number of each which is
required.
The highlighted line, our Carpenter, will spend a third
of an hour per square metre at a cost of £6.83 per hour
(OK, I know he's cheap!) and we are recharging him at
£9.51. Towards the bottom of the screen on the left we
can see there are 24 square metres involved and this is
how the cost totals and quoted totals are calculated.
Many companies do not cost to this level and I would
stress that it is entirely up to you how the costs are
structured and to what level, they can be deeper or
simplified as required, they can also vary from job to
job.
The information does not need to be entered each time
you build a new job, Sage Construct Advanced holds
information in libraries which can be pulled into the
job as you build it. When building a job in this example
the relevant item, Partn. 100/12/12, is selected,
dropped into the job and a quantity of 24 is entered,
all figures and descriptions are pulled through and
multiplied accordingly.
